3 - ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar, who is Abū al-Shaykh, the author of "al-Ṭabaqāt," and he provided a good biography of al-ʿAssāl in it (2/355). The narration of these ḥāfiẓs from him instills confidence in the soul that he is truthful, if Allāh wills. As for his father, Sulaymān ibn Yūsuf al-ʿAqīlī, Abū Nuʿaym mentioned him in "al-Akhbār" (1/334) through the narration of his son from him, from al-Nuʿmān ibn ʿAbd al-Salām, with another chain from Ibn Masʿūd, raised [to the Prophet]: "The best of my nation is my generation..." the ḥadīth. And he said: "He died in the year 241." He did not mention any criticism or praise about him. Thus, he is considered reliable, and he can be used as evidence. And Allāh knows best. Based on this, the ḥadīth with this follow-up from Sulaymān ibn Yūsuf al-ʿAqīlī to Ibrāhīm ibn Ayyūb reaches the level of ḥasan, as Abū al-ʿAwām, who is ʿImrān ibn Dāwūd al-Qaṭṭān, was said by the ḥāfiẓ: "Truthful but makes mistakes." Then, with the combined ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, and the ḥadīth of Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl from Anas, and the ḥadīth of Wāʾil ibn Ḥujr, it reaches the level of ṣaḥīḥ, because there is no one accused in it. Then I saw that the ḥāfiẓ al-Sakhāwī in "al-Qawl al-Badīʿ" said after the ḥadīth of Anas from the first path (p. 39-40): "And al-Majd al-Lughawī mentioned that its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ, with its men being relied upon in 'the two ṣaḥīḥs,' and Allāh knows best, and it was narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in (al-Aḥmadayn) from 'Tārīkh Iṣbahān' (meaning the path of al-ʿAqīlī), and from Qatādah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that he said:
