and this was mentioned in its entirety by al-Dhahabī in "al-Siyar" (3/418-419) through the narration of Fiṭr ibn Khalīfah from his father, without attributing it to anyone. As for the commentator, he attributed it to Abū Dāwūd with the number (3060)! This attribution is incorrect, as it misleads readers into thinking that the entire ḥadīth is with Abū Dāwūd, which is not the case; rather, only the part about the house is with him under the number he indicated. Due to the weakness in Khalīfah and the absence of a corroborator or witness for this part, I included it in "Ḍaʿīf Abī Dāwūd" with the number (545). Allāh is the grantor of success, there is no lord other than Him, and none is worshipped rightfully except Him.

- "Among his supplications (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was: O Allāh, forgive me for what I have done in the past and what I will do in the future, what I have done in secret and what I have done openly, and what You know better than I do. Indeed, You are the One who brings forward and the One who delays. There is no deity except You." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (174/673) and Aḥmad (2/291, 514, 526) through various chains from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Masʿūdī from ʿAlqamah ibn Murthad from Abū al-Rabīʿ from Abū Hurayrah who said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is good, all its narrators are trustworthy and well-known, and Abū al-Rabīʿ is the Madanī, from whom Simāk ibn Ḥarb and Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād also narrated, and Abū Ḥātim said: "His ḥadīth is acceptable." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (5/582), and al-Tirmidhī considered him reliable, and al-Dhahabī said: "Truthful." As for the limitation of the ḥāfiẓ to his saying:
