al-Ṭufayl ibn ʿAmr al-Dawsī and his companions came and said: O Messenger of Allāh! Indeed, Daws has disobeyed and refused, so supplicate to Allāh against them. Abū Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) raised his hands, and I said: Daws is doomed. But he said: "O Allāh, guide Daws and bring them." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/502): Yazīd narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr informed us from Abū Salamah with it. I said: This isnād is good; its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except that they both recorded Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr—who is Ibn ʿAlqamah—in the supportive and corroborative narrations due to a slight weakness in him. He was corroborated, as Sufyān—who is Ibn ʿUyaynah—said: Abū al-Zanād narrated to us from al-Aʿraj from Abū Hurayrah with it, except that he said instead of raising: "The people thought he was supplicating against them." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (6397): ʿAlī narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us with it. And with this isnād, it was recorded in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (611), but he added before this assumption: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) faced the qiblah and raised his hands." This addition was corroborated by ʿAlī—the Shaykh of al-Bukhārī, who is Ibn al-Madīnī—as Aḥmad (2/243) and al-Ḥumaydī in his "Musnad" (1050) said: Sufyān narrated to us with it. It was also recorded by al-Bayhaqī in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (5/359) through the route of Saʿdān ibn Naṣr: Sufyān narrated to us with it. And he said: "It was narrated by al-Bukhārī in 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ' from ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Sufyān!" Thus he said, and he means the original ḥadīth—which is his habit in his books, including "al-Sunan."
قدم الطفيل بن عمرو الدوسي وأصحابه، فقالوا: يارسول الله! إن دوسا قد عصت وأبت، فادع الله عليها، قال أبو هريرة: فرفعرسول الله ﷺ يديه، فقلت: هلكت دوس، فقال: " اللهم اهددوسا، وائت بها ". أخرجه أحمد (٢ / ٥٠٢) : حدثنا يزيد أنبأنا محمد بن عمروعن أبي سلمة به. قلت: وهذا إسناد جيد رجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين، إلا أنهماأخرجا لمحمد بن عمرو - وهو ابن علقمة - في الشواهد والمتابعات لضعف فيه يسير. وقد توبع، فقال سفيان - وهو ابن عيينة -: حدثنا أبو الزناد عن الأعرج عنأبي هريرة به، إلا أنه قال مكان الرفع: " فظن الناس أنه يدعو عليهم ". أخرجهالبخاري (٦٣٩٧) : حدثنا علي: حدثنا سفيان به. وبهذا الإسناد أخرجه في "الأدب المفرد " (٦١١) ، لكنه زاد قبيل جملة الظن هذه: " فاستقبل رسول اللهﷺ القبلة ورفع يديه ". وهذه الزيادة قد توبع عليها علي -شيخ البخاري وهو ابن المديني -، فقال أحمد (٢ / ٢٤٣) والحميدي في " مسنده" (١٠٥٠) : حدثنا سفيان به. وأخرجها البيهقي في " دلائل النبوة " (٥ / ٣٥٩) من طريق سعدان بن نصر: حدثنا سفيان به. وقال: " رواه البخاري في " الصحيح" عن علي بن عبد الله عن سفيان "! كذا قال، وهو يعني أصل الحديث - وهي عادةله في كتبه ومنها " السنن ".
