I said: This is a sound isnād, its men are the men of the two Shaykhs. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/118): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and Abū Yaʿlá, and its men are the men of the authentic collections." I said: It has another route, narrated by ʿAmr ibn Thābit from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl from Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām from Umm Salamah: that al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage and said: O Messenger of Allāh! You encourage maintaining family ties, kindness to neighbors, sheltering orphans, feeding guests, and feeding the needy, and all of this was done by Hishām ibn al-Mughīrah. What do you think of him, O Messenger of Allāh? The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Every grave whose occupant does not testify that there is no deity but Allāh is a pit of fire, and I found my uncle Abū Ṭālib in a deep pit of fire, but Allāh removed him due to his closeness to me and his kindness to me, placing him in a shallow part of the fire." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (23/405/972) and in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (2/165/2/7523) and he said: "It is not narrated from Umm Salamah except through this isnād." I said: It appears that he means by this the complete isnād, otherwise the previous route is with a different isnād as you have seen. Then al-Haythamī criticized it by saying: "And in it is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl, who is rejected in ḥadīth and his narrations are not used as evidence, although he has been deemed reliable."
