al-Haythamī said (10/117): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and its narrators are those of the authentic collections, except for ʿUthmān ibn Muhib, who is trustworthy."

"A man should not make another man stand up from his seat, but make room and Allāh will make room for you." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad in his "Musnad" (2/483): Suraij narrated to us, Falīḥ narrated from Ayyūb ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣaʿṣaʿah al-Anṣārī from Yaʿqūb ibn Abī Yaʿqūb from Abū Hurayrah in a marfūʿ form. I say: This isnād is good, and its narrators are reliable. As for Yaʿqūb ibn Abī Yaʿqūb, it is said in "al-Tahdhīb": "Abū Ḥātim said: Trustworthy, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him among the trustworthy." I say: Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned him in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl," but did not mention his father's statement "trustworthy." As for Ibn Ṣaʿṣaʿah, Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him among the trustworthy and a group narrated from him. Al-Khazrajī in "al-Khulāṣah" and al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Taqrīb" said: "Trustworthy." As for the rest of the narrators, they are from the narrators of the two Shaykhs. The ḥadīth has two supporting narrations mentioned by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Fatḥ" (11/53), and he missed this supported ḥadīth!
