"it is likely that one of you will deny me while reclining on his couch..." the ḥadīth is similar to it. Recorded by Aḥmad (4/132). Its isnād is good for corroborations. The second part has a corroboration from the ḥadīth of Khālid ibn al-Walīd, excluding the statement about hospitality. Recorded by Abū Dāwūd (3806) and others, and it includes the word "mules," which is objectionable, and therefore I included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (1149).

"Indeed, Allāh enjoins you to treat women well, indeed, Allāh enjoins you to treat women well for they are your mothers, your daughters, and your aunts. A man from the People of the Book marries a woman and her hands do not even touch the thread, yet neither desires to leave the other [until they die of old age]." Recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (20/374/648) through two chains from Muḥammad ibn Ḥarb from Sulaymān ibn Sulaym from Yaḥyá ibn Jābir from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdī Karib: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) stood among the people, praised Allāh, and extolled Him, then said: and mentioned the ḥadīth. Similarly narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (18/45/1-2) through the chain of Dāwūd ibn Rashīd: Muḥammad ibn Ḥarb informed us of it, and the addition is his.
