and he was also deemed trustworthy by al-Nasāʾī and Ibn Ḥibbān (6/196). Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (2/277-278): "It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá and al-Bazzār, and their isnād is good." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/85): "It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá in 'al-Kabīr', and al-Bazzār, and all their men are trustworthy." I said: His mention of "al-Kabīr" indicates that Abū Yaʿlá has two musnads: a large one and a small one. The "small" is the one known today, and it is currently being printed in Damascus, with more than ten volumes published so far, and the Musnad of ʿUmar is in the first of them, but the ḥadīth is not included in it. It seems that Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī, in his commentary on "al-Bazzār", is unaware of "al-Musnad al-Kabīr", as indicated by his statement following al-Haythamī's aforementioned statement: ".. in al-Kabīr", al-Aʿẓamī said: "(sic)"!

- "There is nothing that brings you closer to Paradise except that I have commanded you with it, and there is nothing that brings you closer to the Fire except that I have forbidden you from it. The Holy Spirit has inspired in my heart: A soul will not die until it has completed its provision, so fear Allāh and seek [your provision] beautifully, and do not let the delay in provision lead you to seek it through disobedience to Allāh, for what is with Allāh cannot be attained except through His obedience." It was narrated by Abū Bakr al-Ḥaddād in "al-Muntakhab min Fawāʾid Ibn ʿAlawiyy al-Qaṭṭān" (168/1)
