- "the one who spits in the direction of the qiblah will come on the Day of Judgment with it on his face." It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (333): ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād al-Kinānī - at al-Abillah - narrated to us, saying: al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us: Shabābah narrated to us, ʿĀṣim ibn Muḥammad narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Sūqah from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: This isnād consists of narrators all of whom are trustworthy and well-known from the narrators of al-Bukhārī, except for this al-Kinānī, for whom I have not found a biography at present. However, he was not the only one to narrate it, as al-Mundhirī attributed it in "al-Targhīb" (1/122) to al-Bazzār, Ibn Khuzaymah, and Ibn Ḥibbān in their "Ṣaḥīḥ" collections. Ibn Khuzaymah is from the same generation as the mentioned al-Kinānī, so it is likely he narrated it through a different route, either directly from Ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ or from someone else. As for al-Bazzār, his route is definitely different from al-Kinānī's, as in his isnād is ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUmar, as mentioned by al-Haythamī (2/19), who said: "al-Bukhārī and a group weakened him, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in 'al-Thiqāt'." I said: And in "al-Taqrīb": weak. I said: However, even if it does not strengthen the ḥadīth as a corroborating or supporting narration, it at least does not harm, and the ḥadīth is authentic in any case
- "يجيء صاحب النخامة في القبلة يوم القيامة وهي في وجهه". أخرجه ابن حبان في "صحيحه" (٣٣٣): أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن زياد الكناني - بالأبلة - حدثنا الحسن بن محمد بن الصباح: حدثنا شبابة حدثنا عاصم ابن محمد عن محمد بن سوقة عن نافع عن ابن عمر مرفوعا. قلت: وهذا إسناد رجاله كلهم ثقات معروفون من رجال البخاري غير الكناني هذا، فلم أجد له الآن ترجمة، لكنه لم يتفرد به، فقد عزاه المنذري في "الترغيب" (١ / ١٢٢) للبزار وابن خزيمة وابن حبان في "صحيحيهما، وابن خزيمة من طبقة الكناني المذكور فالغالب أنه رواه من غير طريقه، إما عن ابن الصباح مباشرة أو عن غيره. وأما البزار فطريقه غير طريق الكناني قطعا، فإن في إسناده عاصم بن عمر كما ذكر الهيثمي (٢ / ١٩)، وقال: "ضعفه البخاري وجماعة، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات". قلت: وفي "التقريب": ضعيف. قلت: ولكنه إن لم يفد في تقوية الحديث كشاهد أو متابع، فهو على الأقل لا يضر والحديث صحيح على كل حال.
