"the angels came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) while he was sleeping. Some of them said: 'He is sleeping,' and others said: 'The eyes are asleep, but the heart is awake...' [continuing] the ḥadīth, in which it is stated: 'Whoever obeys Muḥammad (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) has obeyed Allāh, and whoever disobeys Muḥammad has disobeyed Allāh, and Muḥammad has made a distinction among the people.'" I said: Thus, the ḥadīth provides clear evidence that making distinctions is not inherently blameworthy. Therefore, discouraging some people from calling to the Book and the sunnah, and warning against what contradicts them from newly invented matters, or claiming that their time has passed, under the pretense that they alienate people and cause division, is a great ignorance of the call to truth and the associated disputes and enmity, as observed in every time and place. This is the way of Allāh in His creation, and you will not find any change or alteration in the way of Allāh. * "And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community, but they will not cease to differ, except whom your Lord has given mercy" * (Sūrah Hūd, verse 118-119).
"May the faces be disfigured [may the faces be disfigured]." It was narrated by Aḥmad (1/303) who said: Isḥāq ibn ʿĪsá narrated to us: Yaḥyá ibn Sulaym narrated from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUthmān from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: "The leaders of Quraysh gathered in the Hijr and swore by al-Lāt, al-ʿUzzá, Manāt the third, and Nāʾilah and Isāf, that if they saw Muḥammad, they would rise against him as one man and not leave him until they killed him. His daughter Fāṭimah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) came crying until she entered upon the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: 'These leaders of Quraysh have conspired against you. If they see you, they will rise against you and kill you, and there is not a man among them who does not know his share of your blood.'" He said: 'O my daughter, bring me some water for ablution.' He performed ablution and then entered the mosque. When they saw him, they said: 'Here he is,' and they lowered their voices
