and this Waraqāʾ—she is the daughter of Hudāb as mentioned in "al-Awsaṭ"—I did not recognize her. (Note): al-Mundhirī mentioned in "al-Targhīb" (3/43) this narration following the incomplete narration of ʿĀʾishah, and he said after them: "It was recorded by Aḥmad, and its narrators are relied upon in the authentic collections, except that there is a disconnection." However, this is not the case as it becomes clear to you from this analysis, and its conclusion is that the ḥadīth of the chapter is ḥasan, and the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah through its paths is ṣaḥīḥ, except for the narration of Waraqāʾ, which is weak.
"By Allāh, Allāh sent the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) at the most difficult time that any prophet was sent, during a period of ignorance, when they did not see any religion better than idol worship. He came with the Criterion that distinguished between truth and falsehood, and separated between a parent and his child, so much so that a man would see his father, child, or brother as a disbeliever, while Allāh had opened his heart to faith. He knew that if [the disbeliever] perished, he would enter the Fire, so his eyes would not find rest knowing that his beloved was in the Fire. And it is what Allāh said: *'Those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes"'*." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/2-3): Yaʿmur ibn Bishr narrated to us, ʿAbd Allāh—meaning Ibn al-Mubārak—narrated to us: Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr informed us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr narrated from his father who said: We sat with al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad one day, and a man passed by him and said: "Blessed are the two eyes that saw the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). By Allāh, we wish we had seen what you saw and witnessed what you witnessed." He became angry, and I was surprised that he said nothing but good, then he turned to him and said:
