that Abū al-ʿĀṣ reached Medina, and he sent to her: "Obtain protection for me from your father." So she went out and put her head out from the door of her chamber while the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was leading the people in the dawn prayer, and she said: "O people, I am Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and I have granted protection to Abū al-ʿĀṣ." When the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) finished the prayer, he mentioned it. And he said: "It is not narrated from Umm Salamah except with this isnād, and it was uniquely reported by Ibn Lahīʿah." It was also recorded in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (23/425/1047) through another route from Ibn Lahīʿah with it. I said: Al-Haythamī, after attributing it in this context to "al-Awsaṭ" and "al-Kabīr" in brief (5/330), said: "In it is Ibn Lahīʿah, and his ḥadīth is ḥasan, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy." I said: What is established among most scholars is that his ḥadīth is ḥasan in supporting narrations and follow-ups, except in the narration of one of the ʿAbādilah from him, it is ṣaḥīḥ, and it was narrated from him by ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb. Al-Dūlābī said in "al-Dhurriyyah al-Ṭāhirah" (fol. 12/1): Yūnus ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlá narrated to me: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb informed me, Ibn Lahīʿah informed me with it. It was also recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/45) through another route from Ibn Wahb with it. I said: Thus, the ḥadīth is authentic, and all praise is due to Allāh. Mūsá ibn Jubayr al-Anṣārī was narrated from by a group of trustworthy narrators, including al-Layth ibn Saʿd, Bakr ibn Muḍar, ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith, and Yaḥyá ibn Ayyūb. Therefore, al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "Trustworthy." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (7/451) and said: "He makes mistakes and contradicts." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Unknown." I said: The correct statement is al-Dhahabī's previous statement: "Trustworthy," due to the group narrating from him, although he may have errors as indicated by Ibn Ḥibbān's previous statement. The ḥadīth has a supporting narration from Yazīd ibn Rumān, mursal. It was recorded by Ibn Hishām in "al-Sīrah" (2/202-203). Another from the ḥadīth of Anas ibn Mālik, similar but abridged. It was recorded by al-Dūlābī (fol. 12/2): al-Naḍr ibn Salamah narrated to us with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād from him. But this al-Naḍr, who is Shādhān al-Marwazī, is accused of fabricating, and he is mentioned in "al-Lisān." However, it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" and "al-Awsaṭ," shorter than that. Al-Haythamī said: "In it is ʿAbbād ibn Kathīr al-Thaqafī, and he is abandoned." The second part of the ḥadīth in the chapter has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr with Abū Dāwūd and others with a ḥasan isnād, and it is extracted in "al-Irwāʾ" (2208) and other supporting narrations in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" and "al-Mustadrak" (4/45)
إن أبا العاص لحق بالمدينة، فأرسل إليها: أن خذي لي أمانا من أبيك، فخرجت فأطلت برأسها من باب حجرتها ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في الصبح يصلي بالناس، فقالت: يا أيها الناس أنا زينب بنت رسول الله ﷺ، وإني قد أجرت أبا العاص. فلما فرغ رسول الله ﷺ من الصلاة قال: فذكره. وقال: " لا يروى عن أم سلمة إلا بهذا الإسناد، تفرد به ابن لهيعة ". وأخرجه في " المعجم الكبير " (٢٣ / ٤٢٥/ ١٠٤٧) من طريق أخرى عن ابن لهيعة به. قلت: قال الهيثمي بعد أن عزاه بهذا السياق لـ " الأوسط " و " الكبير " باختصار (٥ / ٣٣٠) : " وفيه ابن لهيعة، وحديثه حسن وبقية رجاله ثقات ". قلت: المتقرر فيه عند أكثر العلماء أنه حسن الحديث في الشواهد والمتابعات، إلا في رواية أحد العبادلة عنه، فهو صحيح الحديث، وقد رواه عنه عبد الله بن وهب، فقال الدولابي في " الذرية الطاهرة "(ق ١٢ / ١) : حدثني يونس بن عبد الأعلى: أنبأ عبد الله بن وهب أخبرني ابن لهيعة به. وأخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ٤٥) من طريق آخر عن ابن وهب به. قلت: فصح الحديث والحمد لله، وموسى بن جبير الأنصاري روى عنه جمع من الثقات منهم الليث بن سعد وبكر بن مضر وعمرو بن الحارث ويحيى بن أيوب، ولذلك قال الذهبي في " الكاشف ": " ثقة ". وذكره ابن حبان في " الثقات " (٧ / ٤٥١) وقال: " يخطىء ويخالف ". وقال الحافظ: " مستور ". قلت: والصواب قول الذهبي المتقدم: " ثقة " لرواية الجماعة عنه، وقد يكون له أخطاء كما يشير إليه قول ابن حبان المتقدم. وللحديث شاهد عن يزيد بن رومان مرسلا. أخرجه ابن هشام في " السيرة " (٢ / ٢٠٢ - ٢٠٣) . وآخر من حديث أنس بن مالك نحوه مختصرا. أخرجه الدولابي (ق ١٢ / ٢) : حدثنا النضر بن سلمة بسند صحيح له عنه. لكن النضر هذا - وهو شاذان المروزي - متهم بالوضع، وهو مترجم في " اللسان ". لكن رواه الطبراني في " الكبير " و " الأوسط " أخصر منه، قال الهيثمي: " وفيه عباد بن كثير الثقفي، وهو متروك ". وللشطر الثاني من حديث الترجمة شاهد من حديث ابن عمرو عند أبي داود وغيره بسند حسن، وهو مخرج في " الإرواء " (٢٢٠٨) وشواهد أخرى في " مجمع الزوائد " و " المستدرك " (٤ / ٤٥) .
