"the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would, when he slaughtered a sheep, say: 'Send [some of it] to the friends of Khadījah.'" It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (3816, 3818, 6004) and Muslim (7/134), and this wording is his, and by al-Tirmidhī (2018, 3885), Aḥmad (6/58, 202, 279), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (23/11/15) through various chains from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from her. Al-Ḥākim critiqued Muslim for omitting it, and al-Tirmidhī authenticated it. (Note): The ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah was attributed by al-Ḥāfiẓ in the biography of Khadījah in "al-Iṣābah" to (the Ṣaḥīḥ) with this wording, and he added: "He said: I mentioned it to him one day, and he said: 'I indeed love her beloved.'" I did not find this addition in (the Ṣaḥīḥ) nor in other sources, except for a narration by Muslim from the path of Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah with this ḥadīth, and it added: She said: I angered him one day, so I said: Khadījah?! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "I have been granted her love."

"O people, I was not aware of this until you heard it, and indeed, the least of them can grant protection on behalf of the Muslims." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (2/296/2/4958) who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yaḥyá ibn Bukayr narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: Ibn Lahīʿah informed us, saying: Mūsá ibn Jubayr informed us from ʿArāk ibn Mālik from Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām from Umm Salamah: that Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), when the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) emigrated, sought permission from Abū al-ʿĀṣ ibn al-Rabīʿ, her husband, to go to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he permitted her, so she went to him, then
