It was recorded by Muslim (4/136) and it is in both "Ṣaḥīḥayn" in a similar manner, and it is also included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (1891). Ibn Ḥibbān also recorded it in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (4057 - al-Iḥsān) with the wording of "Ṣaḥīḥayn". Then he narrated it (4058) from another perspective with the wording: "For the Muslim is the sister of the Muslim." Its isnād is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy, the men of Muslim except for his shaykh Ibn Salm, who is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Salm al-Maqdisī, and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān and al-Dhahabī in "al-Siyar" (14/306). Here, it is necessary to point out some things I have noticed: 1 - In "al-Majmaʿ", it appears as "inaʾihā" instead of "ṣaḥfatihā", which is likely a typographical error, and the correct version is found in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr". 2 - In "al-Jāmiʿ al-Azhar", it appears as "ṣaḥīfatihā" and in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" as "ṣafḥatihā", all of which are incorrect, as "ṣaḥīfah" refers to what is written on paper and the like. "Ṣafḥah" refers to the side of something, and the page of a paper is one of its sides. As for "ṣaḥfah", it is a vessel like a flat bowl and the like. Ibn al-Athīr said: "This is an analogy intending to exaggerate her share, so it is as if she has emptied someone else's bowl and turned what was in his vessel into her own." 3 - In "al-Muʿjam", it appears as ".. Abū Yaḥyá al-Dārī [al-Rāzī] "! as if indicating a difference in copies or reading, and the correct version is "al-Rāzī" with "al-Dārī" omitted, as is clear from his earlier biography.
