It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/369). I said: Its chain of transmission is authentic, and al-Haythamī said (9/179): "Its narrators are those of the authentic collections." 2 - From Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah, in a marfūʿ form with it. It was recorded by al-Bazzār (2626). I said: Its chain of transmission is good, as al-Haythamī said. It was also recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/177) through another route from Abū Ḥāzim with it, but he did not mention al-Ḥasan in it, and its wording is: I saw the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) carrying al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī and he was saying: "O Allāh, I love him, so love him." And he said: "Its chain of transmission is authentic, and they did not record it, and it has been narrated with a chain for al-Ḥasan similar to it, and both are preserved." So refer to the following ḥadīth (2807). In the chapter, there are reports from a number of other Companions, so whoever wishes may refer to "Kashf al-Astār" and "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid." (Note): Among the errors of the commentator on "Sunan al-Tirmidhī" is that he said in the ḥadīth of the translation (9/340): "al-Tirmidhī was unique in narrating it!" However, it was recorded by the two Shaykhs as you have seen. Conversely, he said in the anomalous ḥadīth of al-Tirmidhī from the narration of Faḍl ibn Marzūq mentioned earlier:
