"Chapter on the warning against the consequences of being preoccupied with farming tools, or exceeding the limits prescribed." for it is known that excessive pursuit of earning distracts a person from obligations and leads to an obsession with worldly matters, attachment to the earth, and neglect of jihād, as is observed in many wealthy individuals. This is supported by his saying (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "When you engage in ʿīnah transactions, hold onto the tails of cows, are content with farming, and abandon jihād, Allāh will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove until you return to your religion."

This is an authentic ḥadīth due to the collection of its chains, and I have reviewed three of them, all from Ibn ʿUmar (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) in a marfūʿ form: The first: from Isḥāq Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who reported that ʿAṭāʾ al-Khurāsānī informed him that Nāfiʿ informed him from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (no. 3462), al-Dūlābī in "al-Kuná" (2/65), Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (256/2), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (5/316). Faḍālah ibn Ḥuṣayn corroborated it from Ayyūb from Nāfiʿ with it. It was narrated by Ibn Shāhīn in a part of "al-Afrād" (1/1) and he said
