Abū Saʿd al-Madanī, and he is truthful but became confused later in life, and there is well-known criticism of him. The author mentioned him among the narrators about whom there is disagreement at the end of this book and criticized him. He mentioned that Ibn Ḥibbān included him among "al-Thiqāt" and narrated from him in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" more than one ḥadīth, and perhaps this is what misled him. the truth is that the man is weak and not to be used as evidence, but he might be used for supporting evidence. I see that this ḥadīth of his is not objectionable; rather, it is good because it has many supporting narrations, some of which were mentioned in the first volume (294-297). The closest is the ḥadīth of Muslim: "Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Resurrection like this," and he joined his fingers. It was mentioned under number (297) and its wording is found in al-Bukhārī's "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (894): ".. he and I in Paradise like these two."

- "When the great battles occur, Allāh will send a group from the mawālī [from Damascus] who are the noblest Arabs in horses and the best in weapons, and Allāh will support the religion through them." It was narrated by Ibn Mājah (4090), al-Ḥākim (4/548), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (1/258-260) through the route of ʿUthmān ibn Abī ʿĀtikah: Sulaimān ibn Ḥabīb al-Muhāribī narrated to us from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of al-Bukhārī." I said: and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but it was noted in "his summary" (M) meaning according to the conditions of Muslim! The first is closer to the truth, because Muslim did not narrate from this ʿUthmān, and al-Bukhārī only narrated from him in "al-Adab al-Mufrad." Moreover, its isnād is not acceptable for authenticity, but it is possibly ḥasan because he - I mean ʿUthmān -
