the latest in the commentary on my new book "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Adab al-Mufrad" (no. 801/1049), which is nearing completion, if Allāh wills. Then it was printed and published along with its counterpart "Ḍaʿīf al-Adab al-Mufrad," and all praise is due to Allāh for His guidance.

"A fire will emerge before the Day of Resurrection from the sea of Ḥaḍramawt, gathering the people." They said, "O Messenger of Allāh! What do you command us?" He said, "You must go to al-Shām." It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (15/78): Abū ʿĀmir al-ʿAqdī narrated to us from ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak from Yaḥyá who said: Abū Qilābah narrated to me, who said: Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to me, who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar narrated to me, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, and it was also narrated by Aḥmad (2/99): Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, Abān ibn Yazīd narrated to us from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr with it, with some abbreviation. And this isnād is also authentic according to the conditions of Muslim.

"There were two brothers during the time of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), one of whom would come to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) (in another narration: attend the ḥadīth of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and his gathering), while the other worked.
