(Note): Al-Suyūṭī attributed it in "al-Durr al-Manthūr" (1/208) to Ibn Abī Ḥātim and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Dalāʾil" and Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr in "al-Tamhīd" from Yaʿlá ibn Umayyah. Know that according to Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr, it is from Ṣafwān ibn Yaʿlá as a mursal ḥadīth without mentioning his father. It is the same with Ibn Abī Ḥātim as in "Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr," and he found it strange. As for "al-Dalāʾil" by Abū Nuʿaym, it is with him (p. 179) as a musnad ḥadīth from his father but through another chain as it is with the two Shaykhs, without the revelation of the verse, hence the need for clarification.

- "Give charity to people of other religions." It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (3/177): Jareer ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd narrated to us from Ashʿath from Jaʿfar from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Do not give charity except to those of your own religion," then Allāh revealed *"It is not upon you [O Muḥammad] to guide them"* to His saying: *"And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you"* (Sūrah al-Baqarah, 2:272): He said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) mentioned it. I say: This is a mursal isnād as in "Naṣb al-Rāyah" (4/398) and its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the six, except for Ashʿath, who is Ibn Isḥāq ibn Saʿd ibn Mālik al-Ashʿarī al-Qummī, and Jaʿfar, who is Ibn Abī al-Mughīrah al-Khuzāʿī al-Qummī, who is truthful but has errors as in "al-Khulāṣah," and similarly in "al-Taqrīb," and the one before him is trustworthy, and the narrator from him is Jareer ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd, despite being among the narrators of the six as we mentioned, al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Trustworthy, accurate in his book, it was said: In his later years, he would err from memory." ʿAbdullāh ibn Saʿd al-Dashtakī followed him, but he said: Ashʿath ibn Isḥāq narrated to us from Jaʿfar ibn Abī al-Mughīrah from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam):
