and al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (177/686) and Abū Dāwūd (5099) in abbreviated form, and Aḥmad (6/222-223) through the route of al-Miqdām ibn Shurayḥ from his father from her. I said: Its isnād is authentic, and it was also recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (1002 - al-Iḥsān) through the route of Sharīk from al-Miqdām in abbreviated form, except that he said "dust" instead of "cloud," which is objectionable due to the weakness of Sharīk and his contradiction of the narration of the group. The defect is not from him, but rather from his narrator: Yaḥyá ibn Ṭalḥah al-Yarbūʿī, who is considered weak in ḥadīth as noted in "al-Taqrīb." He was contradicted by Ḥajjāj—who is Ibn Muḥammad al-Maṣīṣī, the trustworthy—who narrated it from him to Aḥmad in the second location mentioned with the wording of the group. This investigation was overlooked by the commentator on "al-Iḥsān - 3/287 - al-Muʾassasah," who said: "Authentic ḥadīth"! Had he noticed, he would have said: except for the word "dust," which is objectionable. He was followed by ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ from her, who said: When the wind blew violently, he would say: "O Allāh, I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what is in it and the goodness of what it was sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what is in it and the evil of what it was sent with." She said: And when the sky was overcast, his color would change, and he would go out and come in, and he would approach and withdraw. But when it rained, he would be relieved, and I recognized that in his face. ʿĀʾishah said: So I asked him? He said: "Perhaps, O ʿĀʾishah, as the people of ʿĀd said: * (Then when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, 'This is a cloud bringing us rain.' Rather, it is what you sought to hasten) *" (Sūrah al-Aḥqāf, verse 24). It was recorded by Muslim (3/26) and al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (1/400) and al-Nasāʾī (940 and 941) the supplication from it, and al-Bukhārī in abbreviated form (1032, 3206, 4828, and 4829) and in the first location among them, it is very abbreviated with the wording: "When he saw the rain, he said: 'A beneficial downpour.'"
