(Second Note): Al-Mundhirī mentioned in "al-Targhīb" (3/43) after attributing the ḥadīth of Asmāʾ to Abū Dāwūd, al-Nasāʾī, and Ibn Mājah, he said: "And al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in 'al-Duʿāʾ' and with him: 'Let him say: Allāh is my Lord, I associate nothing with Him, three times,' and he added: 'And that was the last words of ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz at the time of death.'" Al-Shawkānī transferred this attribution in his aforementioned explanation, but he rearranged it and said: "Al-Ṭabarānī added in 'al-Duʿāʾ': three times. And it was also narrated by Ibn Mājah." This gave the impression that the ḥadīth with the addition is with Ibn Mājah, which is not the case. Then, I did not find its isnād, because I did not have access to the book "al-Duʿāʾ" by al-Ṭabarānī, and I do not think it is authentic, and Allāh knows best. Then I was fortunate to receive a good photocopy of the book "al-Duʿāʾ," gifted to me along with other valuable photocopies by one of our kind brothers from the students of the Islamic University in Medina, may Allāh reward him well. So, the isnād of that addition is not authentic as I suspected. Al-Ṭabarānī said (p. 117/1-2): Muḥammad ibn Zakariyyā al-Ghallābī narrated to us, Ibrāhīm ibn Bashshār al-Ramādī informed us, Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us from Masʿar from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿUmar from his father ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Marwān from Asmāʾ with the narration and the addition mentioned by al-Mundhirī! This is due to his leniency, which I explained in the introduction of my book "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb," for this al-Ghallābī used to fabricate ḥadīth. He was contradicted in his isnād and text, as al-Ṭabarānī also narrated it and al-Nasāʾī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (650) with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād from Jarīr from Masʿar, who said: from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿUmar from his father, he mentioned it thus, mursal and with the wording: "seven times."
