"Ṣāliḥ ibn ʿUbayd Allāh al-Azdī from Abū al-Jawzāʾ. Abū al-Fatḥ al-Azdī said: there is something in my heart about him." It is mentioned as "ʿUbayd" in diminutive form, and likewise in "al-Lisān," which adds: "And al-ʿUqaylī said: Basran, known as Abū Yaḥyá, from ʿAmr ibn Mālik, his isnād is not preserved, and the text is known through other isnāds. Al-Bukhārī said: there is a question about him." I said: I did not see him in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl," nor in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" and "al-Tārīkh al-Ṣaghīr" by al-Bukhārī.
