I said: This is a sound isnād; this Thaqafī was deemed reliable by Aḥmad and Ibn Ḥibbān. Yaʿlá ibn ʿAṭāʾ is a trustworthy narrator from the men of Muslim, and both Shuʿbah and Hushaym narrated from him. As for the first, a group of reliable narrators transmitted from him: 1 - Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī, who said in his "Musnad" (2582): Shuʿbah narrated to us from him. And through the route of al-Ṭayālisī, it was extracted by al-Tirmidhī (3389) who said: "a ḥadīth ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." 2 - Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar, Ghandar, Ibn Abī Shaybah (10/237/9323) and Aḥmad (2/297) both said: Muḥammad Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated from him. Al-Bukhārī extracted it in "Khalq Afʿāl al-ʿIbād" (pp. 74 and 94 - Hindiyyah) and al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (4/408/7714), both said: Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, Ghandar narrated from him, except that in the second place in "al-Afʿāl" there is an addition which will be discussed, Allāh willing. 3 - Saʿīd ibn al-Rabīʿ: Shuʿbah narrated to us from him. Al-Bukhārī extracted it in "al-Afʿāl" and in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (no. 1202). 4 - Saʿīd ibn ʿĀmir from Shuʿbah from him. Al-Dārimī extracted it (2/292): Saʿīd ibn ʿĀmir informed us from him. 5 - al-Naḍr ibn Shumayl: Shuʿbah narrated to us from him. Ibn Ḥibbān extracted it in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (2349 - Mawārid). 6 and 7 - Bahz and ʿAffān both said: Shuʿbah narrated to us from him. Aḥmad extracted it (1/9 and 10)
