third: Sulaymān ibn Bilāl, the first addition is his, and the second, fourth, and fifth were recorded by al-Bukhārī (13/465/7502) and in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (23/50). Abū al-Ḥabbāb Muḥammad ibn Kaʿb followed him, as he heard Abū Hurayrah narrate it in a summarized form. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (27/65), Ibn Ḥibbān (2035 and 2036), and Aḥmad (2/295, 383, 406, and 455), and its isnād contains an unknown [narrator], but al-Mundhirī strengthened it in "al-Targhīb" (3/226) due to its supporting narrations.

- "The spoils of war were not permissible for those before us; this is because Allāh saw our weakness and incapacity, so He made them lawful for us." It was recorded by Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (2/317), al-Sulamī in "Ṣaḥīfat Hammām" (no. 87), and through his route by Abū al-Qāsim al-Aṣbahānī in "al-Ḥujjah" (folio 43/2) and al-Bayhaqī (6/290) through the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq: Maʿmar narrated to us from Hammām ibn Munabbih who said: This is what Abū Hurayrah narrated to us from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): he mentioned many ḥadīths, this being one of them, and it is in "Muṣannaf ʿAbd al-Razzāq" (5/241/9492) with this isnād in an extended form, and this is its last part. It is also a narration for Aḥmad (2/318) and al-Sulamī (123) from him. Likewise, it was recorded by Muslim (5/145-146) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Rāfiʿ, and Ibn Ḥibbān (4788) from Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm, who both said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated it to us. Ibn al-Mubārak followed him from Maʿmar with it in an extended form. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (6/220/3124) and also by Muslim, but he did not provide its wording. (Note): Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī attributed it in his commentary on "al-Muṣannaf" to al-Bukhārī only, and this is a gross oversight, as it implies first that Muslim did not record it
