it occurred to me that one supports the other, because the first is narrated by Makhūl, a trustworthy Syrian who died in the year one hundred and something, and the other is narrated by Abū Majlaz—whose name is Lāḥiq ibn Ḥumayd—a trustworthy Basran who also died in the year six, or it is said nine, and one hundred.
