and Saʿīd ibn Manṣūr, ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd, the two Shaykhs, Ibn al-Mundhir, Ibn Abī Ḥātim, Ibn Mardawayh, and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" from ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā). There are two issues with this: the first is attributing it to ʿAbd al-Razzāq and al-Bukhārī. They only reported it in a summarized form from another chain from ʿĀʾishah similar to it, without mentioning the revelation of the verse. Refer to "al-Muṣannaf" (10/392/19460) and likewise "Tafsīr" (3/279), and "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī" (2024). The second issue is that it was not attributed to Ibn Mājah, al-Nasāʾī, or even Aḥmad, although they reported it in full as mentioned earlier. Similarly, al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr (4/323) made a significant omission by attributing it only to Ibn Abī Ḥātim! This was followed by the imitator al-Ṣābūnī in his "Mukhtaṣar" (3/462). Then I found the ḥadīth with Ibn Rāhawayh (4/189/1) from the chain of Ibn Abī Mulaykah from ʿĀʾishah with the wording: The Jews entered upon the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: "Death be upon you." He replied: "And upon you." ʿĀʾishah said: "Death and the wrath of Allāh and His curse be upon you, brothers of apes and swine!" The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "O ʿĀʾishah, be gentle, and beware of ignorance." She said: "Did you not hear what they said? They said: 'Death be upon you!'" He replied: "Did I not respond to them? It is answered for us against them, and not answered for them against us." I said: This is a rare narration, and its chain is as follows: Sulaimān ibn Ḥarb informed us, Ḥammād ibn Zayd informed us, from Ayyūb [from] Ibn Abī Mulaykah
