and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (11/149/11262) all from the path of Muḥammad ibn Yazīd ibn Khunays, who said: Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Abī Yazīd narrated to me, saying: Ibn Jurayj said to me: O Ḥasan! My grandfather ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Abī Yazīd narrated to me from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! I saw in a dream last night as if I was praying behind a tree, and I saw as if I recited a prostration verse, and I saw the tree as if it was prostrating with my prostration, and I heard it saying: "O Allāh, record..." etc. Ibn ʿAbbās said: "I saw the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) recite the prostration verse, and I heard him while he was prostrating saying the same as what the man said about the tree's words." The context is from Ibn Ḥibbān, and al-Ḥākim said: "This is a ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth, its narrators are from Mecca, and none of them have been criticized." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: This is one of its wonders, for he said in the biography of this Ḥasan in "al-Mīzān": "al-ʿUqaylī said: He is not followed upon it. Others said: He is unknown, and no one narrated from him except Ibn Khunays." And he said in "al-Kāshif": "Not reliable." As for al-Tirmidhī, he said in both places: "A gharīb ḥadīth, we do not know it except from this path." But he added in the first place in one version: "ḥasan."
