"and his ḥadīth is good, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the authentic collections." It was also recorded by al-Bazzār (2/415/1996) through another chain from Ibn ʿAqīl with a similar wording, and he said: "We do not know it in its wording or meaning except from Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah from ʿAlī." I said: al-ʿAlāʾ al-Raqī contradicted all the chains according to al-Ḥākim by saying: ".. Ibn ʿAqīl from his father" instead of saying: ".. from Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī," who is Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah, which indicates the weakness of al-Raqī. However, the text of the ḥadīth is established by the narration of the group as we mentioned, and its isnād was authenticated by Aḥmad Shākir in his commentary on "al-Musnad" (4/351), which is part of his leniency for which he is known. Then he said: "But it is opposed by what has passed (769 and 953) in naming them, and perhaps what has passed is more likely." He refers to the ḥadīth of Hāniʾ ibn Hāniʾ from ʿAlī.. similar to it, and in it: that he named each of them at their birth: (Ḥarb). This isnād is weak in my view as I have explained in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (3706). Thus, our ḥadīth is more likely. It has a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of Surah bint Mishraḥ, which I discussed in the mentioned source.
- "You were more deserving of prostration than the tree." It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (1/298) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (no. 4904) through the chain of al-Jarrāḥ ibn Makhlad: Yāmān ibn Naṣr, the flour merchant, informed us
