and mentioned it to him, he said: So he mentioned it, and said: We ate from its fat, meat, and grease for about twenty days, then he met its owner, who said to him: Why didn't you slaughter it? He replied: I was too shy because of you. From this perspective, it was recorded by Aḥmad (5/87 and 88). I said: This isnād is good for corroborations, and it is according to the criteria of Muslim, except that he only included Shurayk for corroboration, and several others corroborated him: the first is Ḥammād ibn Salamah: narrated to us by Simāk with it, and his wording: that a man was with his father in (al-Ḥarrah) and a man said to him: A she-camel of mine has gone missing, if you find it, hold onto it. The man found it, but its owner did not come until it became ill. His wife said to him: Slaughter it so we can eat it. He did not do so until it died, and his wife said: Skin it so we can dry its meat and fat. He said: Until I ask the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)... the ḥadīth is similar. It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/96 and 104) and Abū Dāwūd (3816), and its isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim. The second: Abū ʿAwānah from Simāk ibn Ḥarb with it in a shortened form with the wording: "mule" instead of "she-camel". It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/89 and 97) - and his son ʿAbdullāh said: The correct version is: "she-camel" -, and al-Ḥākim (4/125) who said: "Authentic according to the criteria of Muslim". Al-Dhahabī agreed with him.

- "He would rest his head on his right hand when sleeping, then say: My Lord, protect me from Your punishment on the day You resurrect Your servants." It comes from the ḥadīth of al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), through the route of Abū Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī, and there is a difference in its isnād in various forms:
