it was stated by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Tahdhīb," and there is some criticism regarding his memory, which was indicated in "al-Taqrīb" by saying: "Truthful but makes mistakes." al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "His ḥadīth is acceptable." Thus, his ḥadīth is ḥasan, if Allāh wills. As for the statement of al-Ḥāfiẓ in "Mukhtaṣar Zawāʾid al-Bazzār" (1/565): "Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ," there is evident leniency in it. It was also narrated by al-Ṭayālisī in "Musnad" (2756) and through his route by al-Bayhaqī (2/125/2): "Abū Ṭalḥah the blind narrated to us from a man he named, from Ibn ʿAbbās with a similar narration, and its wording: 'O young men of Quraysh! Do not commit adultery, for whoever Allāh preserves his youth, he will enter Paradise.'" If Abū Ṭalḥah the blind is not the previously mentioned al-Rāsibī, then I do not know him, and perhaps the "man" is Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah, for it was narrated by al-Dūlābī in "al-Kuná" (2/18) with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād from Abū Qutaybah from Shaddād Abū Ṭalḥah from Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah from Ibn ʿAbbās with a similar narration. Abū Qutaybah's name is Salm ibn Qutaybah al-Shuʿayrī, a trustworthy narrator from the men of al-Bukhārī, so perhaps al-Rāsibī had two isnāds for this ḥadīth from Ibn ʿAbbās, narrating sometimes with this one and sometimes with that one, and each narrated from him what he heard, and all are trustworthy.
