and he said: "It was narrated by Abū ʿAwānah in his 'Ṣaḥīḥ' and by 'al-Ḥākim'. He limited the attribution to them because there is no partner in their chain, unlike the authors of 'al-Sunan', and therefore he did not attribute it to them. All praise is due to Allāh who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided if Allāh had not guided us. Know that ʿĀʾishah's statement is based on her knowledge, otherwise it is established in 'al-Ṣaḥīḥayn' and other sources from the ḥadīth of Ḥudhayfah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) came to a people's garbage dump and urinated standing." Therefore, the correct view is the permissibility of urinating sitting or standing, and the important thing is to avoid splashing, so whichever ensures that is obligatory. As for the prohibition of urinating standing, no authentic ḥadīth exists on it, like the ḥadīth "Do not urinate standing," which I have discussed in 'al-Aḥādīth al-Ḍaʿīfah', number (938).

- "The sun was not held back for any human except for Yūshaʿ on the nights he marched to Bayt al-Maqdis." In another narration: "A prophet from among the prophets went to battle and said to his people: Let no man follow me who has taken possession of a woman and wishes to consummate the marriage but has not yet done so, nor one who has built a house but has not yet raised its roof, nor one who has bought sheep or pregnant camels and is awaiting their birth. He then went to battle and approached the village around the time of the ʿAṣr prayer, or close to that." In another narration: "He met the enemy at sunset," and he said to the sun: "You are commanded, and I am commanded. O Allāh, hold it back."
