the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ate and we ate with him, and some of it remained. Then the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "O Allāh, forgive them, have mercy on them, bless them, and expand their provisions." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/688) with a sound three-chain isnād, and it was also recorded by him and Muslim (6/122) through the route of Yazīd ibn Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Busr in an abbreviated form. Aḥmad and others have additional routes for it, with some adding to others. (Benefit): The term "century" refers to the people of each era, and there is a difference of opinion on its definition, as mentioned by Ibn al-Athīr and others, one of which is that it is one hundred years. This ḥadīth supports it, and the ḥāfiẓ leaned towards it in "al-Fatḥ" (7/4), saying: "It has been mentioned in the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Busr in Muslim (!) that indicates a century is one hundred, which is the well-known view." Attributing it to Muslim is an error, the reason being that its origin is there as previously indicated.

- "Spend, Bilāl! And do not fear poverty from the One who possesses the Throne." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, Bilāl ibn Rabāḥ, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, and ʿĀʾishah. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, it is narrated from him by Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn, and there are multiple routes from him: the first is recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (1/101/1) and al-Qaṭīʿī in "Juzʾ al-Alf Dīnār" (Q 40/1), who said: Jaʿfar al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Bishr ibn Sayḥān narrated to us, saying: Ḥarb ibn Maymūn narrated from Hishām ibn Ḥassān ibn Ḥassān from Ibn Sīrīn from him in a marfūʿ form
