this Ibrāhīm, and Ibn Abī Ḥātim has mentioned him (1/1/127) with two trustworthy narrations from him, and he did not mention any criticism or commendation about him. He is according to Ibn Ḥibbān's criteria in "Thiqāt," and he included him in "Followers of the Followers" (2/7 - al-Ẓāhiriyyah manuscript). He was followed by Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥasan ibn Ayyūb al-Ḥaḍramī who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Busr showed me a mark on his horn, so I placed my finger on it. He said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) placed his finger on it and then said: "It will reach a century." Abū ʿAbd Allāh said: And he had long hair. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/189), and from him by Ibn ʿAsākir, and al-Dūlābī in "al-Kuná" (2/55) and al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (3/280 - Kashf al-Astār). I said: And its isnād is a good three-chain. Al-Haythamī said (9/405): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and Aḥmad in a similar manner, and the men of Aḥmad are the men of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ' except for al-Ḥasan ibn Ayyūb, and he is trustworthy, and the men of al-Ṭabarānī are trustworthy." He mentioned it in a similar manner from the narration of al-Ṭabarānī and al-Bazzār and said: "And the men of one of al-Bazzār's isnāds are the men of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ' except for al-Ḥasan ibn Ayyūb al-Ḥaḍramī, and he is trustworthy." He was followed by Salāmah ibn Jawwās: Muḥammad ibn al-Qāsim al-Ṭāʾī informed us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Busr with it and added: "I said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allāh! And how long is the century? He said: A hundred years. ʿAbd Allāh said: I have lived ninety-five years. And five years remained until the statement of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was fulfilled. Muḥammad said: We counted five years after that, and then he died."
