al-Miṣrī, and al-Ḥākim (1/404-405) from Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Milḥān, both of whom said: ʿAmr ibn Khālid al-Ḥarānī narrated to us: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAmr al-Raqī narrated to us from Zayd ibn Abī Anīsah from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAwf al-Shaybānī from ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn who said: Umm Salamah narrated to us: that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was in her house with some men from his Companions talking when a man came and said: O Messenger of Allāh, how much is the charity for such and such amount of dates? The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Such and such amount of dates," and the man said: Indeed, so-and-so has wronged me and taken such and such amount from me, increasing by a measure? So he (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "What will you do when someone who wrongs you more severely than this comes to collect from you?" The people were stirred and amazed by the talk, until one of them said: O Messenger of Allāh, if a man is absent from you with his camels, livestock, and crops, and he pays the zakāt on his wealth, but the right is violated against him, what should he do while he is absent? The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: So remind him. al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs." al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but it is actually an error from both of them, as it is only authentic, not according to their conditions nor the condition of either of them, for ʿAmr ibn Khālid was not narrated by Muslim, and al-Qāsim ibn ʿAwf al-Shaybānī was not included by al-Bukhārī. The ḥadīth was mentioned in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/82) and it was said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" and "al-Awsaṭ", and the men of all are the men of the authentic collections." I said: And it was recorded by Aḥmad (6/301): Zakarīyā ibn ʿAdī narrated to us saying: ʿUbayd Allāh (originally written as ʿAbd, which is an error) ibn ʿAmr narrated it in an abridged form
