3 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, it was narrated by Ibn Mājah and Ibn ʿAsākir as previously mentioned in the second path from Anas, with an explanation of its defect. (Note): It became clear later that the ḥadīth had already been cited in volume four, number (1979), but since I found that its citation here is broader and more beneficial than there, I decided to retain it here. It was narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (2142 - Mawārid) and Aḥmad (6/182) and Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (2/2/33). I say: This isnād is good and authentic, for Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr was followed by Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Salamah with it, narrated by Ibn Saʿd, and Ibn Ḥibbān (2143). He was also followed by al-Wāziʿ ibn Nāfiʿ at Abū al-Shaykh Ibn Ḥayyān in "Akhlaq al-Nabī (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)" (p. 303) but al-Wāziʿ is abandoned.
