then I saw that the ḥadīth was narrated by Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Bāqī al-Anṣārī in "Sittah Majālis" (folio 8/1) through the route of Imām Aḥmad, and its editor, the ḥāfiẓ Muḥammad ibn Nāṣir Abū al-Faḍl al-Baghdādī, said: "This is a good ḥadīth with a high isnād, and its men are trustworthy." The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of Fayāḍ from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zubayd from Abū Mūsá (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it similarly. It was recorded by Ibn al-Sunnī (343) with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād to Fayāḍ, who is Ibn Ghazwān al-Ḍabbī al-Kūfī. Aḥmad said: trustworthy. His teacher ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zubayd is Ibn al-Ḥārith al-Yāmī al-Kūfī. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (2/2/62) from his father: "The Kūfians narrated from him." He did not mention any criticism or endorsement about him. I say: he is unknown, and someone like him can be used as supporting evidence, if Allāh wills. Al-Haythamī said about the ḥadīth: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and it includes someone I do not know." I say: it seems he means ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zubayd, and thus it seems he did not find his biography in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl," even though it does not mention any endorsement or criticism, for it is customary not to say about someone like him "I do not know him," as is well known among those engaged in this noble science. (Note) In the margin of "al-Majmaʿ," there is a gross error in the commentary on the ḥadīth, where it states:
