my religion is Islam. Then a door is opened for him in his grave, and it is said or he is told: Look at your place. Then he sees the grave, as if it were a nap. But if he is an enemy of Allāh, death descends upon him, and he witnesses what he witnesses, for he does not wish for his soul to ever depart, and Allāh detests meeting him. When he sits in his grave or is made to sit, he is asked: Who is your Lord? He says: I do not know! It is said: You did not know. Then a door from Hell is opened for him, and he is struck with a blow that every creature hears except for humans and jinn, and then it is said to him: Sleep as one who is bitten sleeps - I asked Abū Hurayrah: What is the one who is bitten? He said: The one bitten by creatures and snakes - then his grave is tightened upon him. Al-Bazzār recorded it in "his Musnad" (p. 92 - Zawāʾid): Saʿīd ibn Baḥr al-Qurāṭīsī narrated to us, al-Walīd ibn al-Qāsim narrated to us, Yazīd ibn Kaysān narrated to us from Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Hurayrah - I think he attributed it to the Prophet - he said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know anyone who narrated it from Yazīd in this manner except al-Walīd." I said: He is truthful but makes mistakes as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb", and those above him are from the men of the two Shaykhs, and al-Haythamī said after it: "Some of it is in 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ', and its men are trustworthy, except for the Shaykh of al-Bazzār, for I do not know him." Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar said after it: "I said: He is reliable, and he did not narrate it alone." I said: He has a biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (9/93) and he said: "He was trustworthy, he died in the year two hundred and fifty-three."
