"an unknown teacher, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥakīm is unknown; we do not know either of them." I said: But al-Qurashī was praised by Ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥakam, who said: "He used to frequent the mosque—and mentioned his virtues," as in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" by al-ʿUqaylī (p. 149). And Ibn Khuzaymah included his narration in "Ṣaḥīḥ" as in "al-Iṣābah." In summary, the ḥadīth is authentic through these routes, and all praise is due to Allāh for His guidance.

"The Black Stone descended from Paradise whiter than snow, but the sins of the children of Adam made it black." It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (1/166), Ibn Khuzaymah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/271/1), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/155/1-2), as well as Aḥmad (1/307, 329, 373) and al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (7/362) through various chains from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." And he said: "milk" instead of "snow," which is unusual to me due to its contradiction with the wording of the group. Al-Nasāʾī narrated the first part of it in "al-Ṣughrā" (2/36) and also in "al-Kubrā" (Q 87/2) from the mentioned source. I said: The men of its isnād are trustworthy, the men of al-Bukhārī, except that ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib had become confused, but he is acceptable in follow-ups and supporting narrations, as Ibn Khuzaymah narrated it through Abū al-Junayd: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUthmān ibn Khuthaym from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr with the wording:
