It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (4/387): Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr narrated to us, Shurayḥ ibn ʿUbayd narrated to me from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿĀʾidh al-Azdī from ʿAmr ibn ʿAbasah al-Sulamī, who said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic, all its men are trustworthy. Then Aḥmad narrated it through the route of Yazīd ibn Yazīd ibn Jābir from a man from ʿAmr ibn ʿAbasah, in an abbreviated form without his saying: "Then he said: My Lord commanded me to curse Quraysh..." And its men are trustworthy. Ibn Abī Khaythamah extracted from it in "al-Tārīkh" (2/10/ - Rabat manuscript) through the route of Abū Ḥamzah al-ʿAbasī from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr and Rāshid ibn Saʿd from Jubayr ibn Nufayr from ʿAmr ibn ʿAbasah his saying: "to Aslam and Ghifār..." to the end without mentioning the two tribes. And its men are trustworthy except for Abū Ḥamzah al-ʿAbasī, whom I do not know. Then it became clear that the correct [name] is (al-ʿAnsī) with a silent nūn, and his name is ʿĪsá ibn Sulaym al-Ḥimṣī, and he is truthful among the men of Muslim. And the ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Haythamī (10/43) in its entirety and he said: "Aḥmad narrated it both connected and disconnected, and al-Ṭabarānī, and the men of all are trustworthy." And the portion extracted by Ibn Abī Khaythamah has a corroboration from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, raised, without his saying also: "And the most tribes in Paradise are Madhḥij and Maʾkūl."
