and Sallam ibn Qādim, the teacher of al-Ḥarbī, has a good biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (9/145-146) and it is said: he is trustworthy. Likewise, Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad al-Asadī also declared him trustworthy, and Ibn Maʿīn said: "There is nothing wrong with him," as al-Khaṭīb reported from both of them. He was mentioned in "al-Lisān," and nothing was added to his biography except Ibn Ḥibbān's statement in "al-Thiqāt": "He makes mistakes," which is a significant shortcoming! He was corroborated, as Aḥmad (2/484) said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us from Zuhayr about it. It includes the addition within the brackets, and I do not know if it was omitted from the original: "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth," or if it was omitted when it was transmitted, and the first is more likely. It is, in any case, correct like the original ḥadīth, for Zuhayr was corroborated on it. It was recorded by Muslim (7/8) and Aḥmad (2/300) through the path of Shuʿbah who said: I heard al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān about it with the addition, then Aḥmad (2/412) recorded it through the path of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Ibrāhīm al-Qāṣṣ who said: al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us about it. (tasfahum) means: to feed them. (al-mal) the hot ash.

- "The most beloved words to Allāh are for a servant to say: Glory be to You, O Allāh, and with Your praise, blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no deity other than You. And the most detested words to Allāh are for a man to say to another man: Fear Allāh, and he replies: Mind your own business."
