Ibn Sulaym," Ibn al-Qaṭṭān said: "He is trustworthy, so the ḥadīth is ḥasan." It has another weak chain according to al-Bazzār from the ḥadīth of Kathīr ibn Murrah from Ibn ʿUmar." I said: He only deemed it ḥasan because Yaḥyá ibn Sulaym, although he is among the narrators of the two Shaykhs, has poor memory. And among them is from Abū Qatādah something similar. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1/227) and al-Ḥākim through the chain of Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq al-Sayliḥīnī: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us from Thābit from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rabāḥ from him. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of Muslim." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said. It was also recorded by Ibn Khuzaymah and al-Ṭabarānī, and it has other supporting evidences with weak chains. Whoever wishes may refer to them in "al-Talkhīṣ" and "al-Majmaʿ" (2/245).
