From his route, it is also recorded in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/144/2) and in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/92/2/1688) and by al-Bayhaqī in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (5/117-118) through the route of al-Nasāʾī as well, and likewise by Ibn Mandah in "al-Maʿrifah" (2/89/2). Al-Ṭabarānī said: "It is not narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās except through this isnād, and it is solely reported by Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Ḥarb." I say: Al-Nasāʾī deemed him trustworthy, and a group narrated from him, and those above him are from the men of (al-Ṣaḥīḥ), except that ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Wāqid was narrated by Muslim in "al-Muqaddimah," and he is truthful but errs, as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb," so the isnād is ḥasan as stated by al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (6/210). There is another route for the story with al-Bayhaqī and Ibn Mandah, but it does not include the ḥadīth of the chapter.

- "Is it not enough for you in the path of Allāh and with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that you also fast?!" It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/327): Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb narrated to us, he said: Ḥusayn ibn Wāqid narrated to me from Abū al-Zubayr, he said: I heard Jābir say: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by a man who was turning his back to his stomach, so he asked about him. They said: "He is fasting, O Prophet of Allāh!" So he called him and ordered him to break his fast, and he mentioned it. And this isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim
