"thus this reason was removed, and the quick walking remained an obligation upon the Ummah of the Chosen One (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) until the Day of Resurrection."

"Seek help through quick walking, for it will cover the ground for you and make it easier." It was recorded by Ibn Khuzaymah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/255/1): Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn ʿAbd al-Majīd narrated to us, Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad narrated from his father from Jābir: "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) set out in the year of the Conquest, then the pedestrians from his Companions gathered around him and lined up for him, and they said: We are exposed to the supplications of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and they said: The journey has become difficult for us. and the distance has become long, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to them: and he mentioned it. So we did that and it became easier for us, and what we were experiencing disappeared." I said: And this chain is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim, and it was also recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (3/400/1880) through another route from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb with it. Then it was narrated from the route of Ibn Jurayj: Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad informed me with a similar narration, and its wording is: "Adopt quick walking." He said: So we walked quickly and found it easier for us. And it is also authentic, and it has been previously referenced with another chain (465). And I found a supporting narration with an acceptable chain in the witnesses from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, summarized with the wording: "Hasten."
