"Whoever seeks to be heard by people for his deeds, Allāh will make him heard by His creation on the Day of Resurrection, and will belittle and humiliate him." Narrated by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (no. 141), Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (nos. 6509, 6986, and 7085), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (4/484 - Islamic University Manuscript), and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (4/124) and (5/99) through various chains from ʿAmr ibn Murrah from Khaythamah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Then al-Ṭabarānī narrated it through the route of Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān ibn Abī Dāwūd: My father narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn Mālik from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib who said: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, and he mentioned something similar, and said: "No one narrated it from Saʿīd except ʿAbd al-Karīm." I say: He is al-Jazarī Abū Saʿīd al-Ḥarānī, and he is a trustworthy narrator from the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]. But the narrator from him, Sulaymān ibn Abī Dāwūd - who is al-Ḥarānī - was deemed weak by Abū Ḥātim and others. As for his son Muḥammad, he is trustworthy. However, the first isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, so it is the primary reliance. Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī referred to this by saying in "al-Targhīb" (1/31): "Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' with isnāds, one of which is authentic, and al-Bayhaqī."

- "How excellent are those who cleanse themselves from my nation." Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/39 - Islamic University Manuscript). He said: Aḥmad narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār al-Mawṣilī narrated to us, ʿAfīf ibn Sālim narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Abī Ḥafṣ al-Anṣārī from Raqabah ibn Miṣqalah from Anas ibn Mālik as a marfūʿ ḥadīth, and he said:
