I said, and Ḥafṣ ibn Jamīʿ is weak as mentioned in "Taqrīb".

"Whoever shoots an arrow in the way of Allāh will have it as a light on the Day of Resurrection." It was recorded by al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (p. 183 - its additions): ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Faḍl ibn Muwafaq narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb narrated to us, Ḥumayd al-Makkī - a client of Ibn ʿAlqamah - narrated to us from ʿAṭāʾ - meaning Ibn Abī Rabāḥ - from Abū Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, and he said: "Zayd was unique in narrating it from Ḥumayd." I said: He is truthful among the men of Muslim, but his teacher, al-Makkī, the client of Ibn ʿAlqamah - who is not Ibn Qays al-Aʿraj al-Makkī - is unknown as al-Ḥāfiẓ said, and he is younger than al-Aʿraj as al-Dhahabī said, and it seems that al-Haythamī mistakenly thought he was Ibn Qays who is recorded in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs", for he said in "al-Majmaʿ" (5/270): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār from his teacher ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Faḍl ibn Muwafaq, and I did not know him, and the rest of the narrators are the narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ"! And it is astonishing that al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar agreed with him on that, for he said following the aforementioned statement of al-Bazzār: "The Shaykh said: Its narrators are the narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ except for ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and he is trustworthy"! I said: And I think he means by (the Shaykh) his teacher al-Haythamī, and then his statement about ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: "and he is trustworthy" becomes problematic! And al-Haythamī had said about him as mentioned before: "I did not know him." And Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (8/382) and said: "al-Ḥaḍramī and the people of Iraq narrated from him." In summary, the isnād of the ḥadīth is weak, due to the unknown status of Ḥumayd al-Makkī, so do not be deceived by the statement of al-Mundhirī (2/172):
