- "When you throw the pebbles [at the pillars], it will be a light for you on the Day of Resurrection." Narrated by al-Bazzār (p. 113 - Zawāʾid): Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us, Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Ibn Abī al-Zinād narrated to us from Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah from Ṣāliḥ, the client of al-Tawʾamah, from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he said: "We do not know it to be connected from Ibn ʿAbbās except through this route." I said: The ḥāfiẓ said after it: "I said: Its isnād is good, because Mūsá heard from Ṣāliḥ before the confusion." I said: And this is an important benefit not found like this in the books of men, for they mentioned in them that Ṣāliḥ became confused, and that Ibn Abī Dhīb, Ibn Jurayj, and Ziyād ibn Saʿd heard from him before the confusion, and they did not mention Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah with them, and he is deserving of that, for his death was in the year 141, preceding them by about ten years, and more than that for some of them. This benefit was overlooked by the ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī, as he indicated in "al-Targhīb" (2/131) to weaken it due to Ṣāliḥ, the client of al-Tawʾamah, and al-Haythamī explicitly stated this, saying in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (3/260): "Narrated by al-Bazzār, and in it is Ṣāliḥ, the client of al-Tawʾamah, and he is weak!"
