- "Do not leave urine in a basin in the house, for the angels do not enter a house that contains urine, and do not urinate in a bathing place." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (p. 34 - Majmaʿ al-Baḥrayn, Ḥaram Makkī edition). Aḥmad narrated to us, Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm al-Baghawī narrated to us, Yaḥyá ibn ʿAbbād Abū ʿAbbād narrated to us, Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq narrated from Bakr ibn Māʿiz: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd narrate from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he mentioned it: and he said, "It is not narrated from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd except with this isnād, and Yaḥyá was unique in narrating it." I say: He is trustworthy among the men of the two Shaykhs, and he is al-Ḍabʿī al-Baṣrī, residing in Baghdad, and likewise, the rest of the narrators are trustworthy among the men of al-Tahdhīb except for those below him. As for al-Baghawī, al-Khaṭīb provided a biography for him (6/370-371) and others, and he is trustworthy and reliable. As for al-Ṭabarānī's Shaykh, Aḥmad, I did not recognize him, as there are many named Aḥmad among al-Ṭabarānī's teachers, as is evident from "Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr." Among the most famous is Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī al-Abbār, who is a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ, and al-Khaṭīb also provided a biography for him (4/306), so perhaps it is him, as a group of ḥadīth scholars have strengthened its isnād. Al-Mundhirī said (1/84): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ' with a good isnād, and al-Ḥākim, and he said: its isnād is authentic." Al-Haythamī also said (1/204), except that he did not attribute it to al-Ḥākim, and I did not see it in his "al-Mustadrak" after reviewing sections such as "Purification," "Knowledge," and "Clothing." Al-Suyūṭī quoted in his commentary on "al-Nasāʾī" (1/14) from the ḥāfiẓ Walī al-Dīn al-ʿIrāqī that he said:
