and Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Dimashqī, and Yaḥyá ibn Ḥamzah in this isnād, and all of them are trustworthy. al-Zubayr ibn Bakkār said: he was one of the leaders and prominent figures of Quraysh, and he was among the most dutiful to his father. Some of the governors of Medina appointed him over the revenues, then he left that and adopted asceticism, and he joined Manbij as a frontier guard. Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." Third: Yaʿqūb ibn ʿUbayd, he is al-Nahritīrī. Ibn Abī Ḥātim translated him (4/2/210) and said: "I heard from him with my father, and he is truthful." al-Khaṭīb transmitted it from him in "al-Tārīkh" (14/280) and confirmed it. al-Mundhirī included the ḥadīth in "al-Targhīb" (4/145-146) from the narration of Ibn Abī al-Dunyā and said: "And Umm ʿAbd Allāh, the daughter of Abū Dhiʾāb (sic), I do not know her." I said: Despite that, the ḥadīth begins with the wording: "from," indicating its strengthening, and perhaps that is due to what I mentioned earlier about the presumption of her being a Companion, with the Qur'an testifying to the last part of it, and the abundance of corroborations for the rest of it, some of which have already been mentioned.
