"he would supplicate with the palms of his hands facing up, and say: like this with the backs of his hands." It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá (2/264-265). And this ʿUmar is weak. (Benefit): Acting upon the ḥadīth and issuing a fatwá based on it was the approach of Imām Mālik, may Allāh have mercy on him, as mentioned in "al-Mudawwanah" by Ibn al-Qāsim (2/158).

"Whoever supports three daughters, providing for them, showing them mercy, and treating them kindly, will be in Paradise." It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá (2/591): Abū Khaythamah narrated to us, Yazīd ibn Hārūn informed us that Sufyān ibn Ḥusayn from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jābir as a marfūʿ ḥadīth, and there is a story within it. It was also recorded by Aḥmad (3/303), al-Bazzār (2/384/1908), and al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (78) from ʿAlī ibn Zayd from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir with it. I say: The isnād of Abū Yaʿlá appears to be authentic, as all its narrators are trustworthy, the men of Muslim, but I fear that there might be a missing link between Sufyān and Muḥammad, ʿAlī ibn Zayd—who is Ibn Judʿān, mentioned in the isnād of Aḥmad—for I have not seen anyone who mentioned Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir among the teachers of Sufyān. I have reviewed "Tahdhīb al-Kamāl" by al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī, and it is his habit to exhaustively list in each biography the names of the teachers and narrators from him, yet he did not mention this in the biography of Sufyān, nor in the biography of Ibn al-Munkadir. And Allāh knows best.
