al-Dhahabī refuted it by saying: "I said: Zakariyyā was deemed weak," and he criticized it in "al-ʿIlal" (2/109). In the chapter, there are reports from other Companions; refer to them if you wish in "al-Targhīb" and "al-Majmaʿ."

"Return it in, then knead it." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (3336): Yaʿqūb ibn Ḥumayd ibn Kāsib narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith informed me, Bakr ibn Suwādah informed me that Ḥanash ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to him from Umm Ayman that she sifted flour and made a loaf for the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he said: What is this? She said: It is food we make in our land, and I wanted to make a loaf for you from it. He said: and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in the book "al-Jūʿ" (folio 9/1): Khālid ibn Khudāsh narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb narrated it. I said: This isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim, except for Ibn Kāsib, about whom the ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful, but sometimes errs." Ibn Khudāsh corroborated him as you have seen, and the ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful, but makes mistakes." He is one of the teachers of Muslim. I said: Thus, the ḥadīth, with both their narrations from Ibn Wahb, is authentic, and it is with the isnād of Ibn Abī al-Dunyā according to the criteria of Muslim. Therefore, do not be deceived after this clarification by al-Mundhirī introducing the ḥadīth by saying
"رديه فيه، ثم اعجنيه". أخرجه ابن ماجة (٣٣٣٦): حدثنا يعقوب بن حميد بن كاسب حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث أخبرني بكر بن سوادة أن حنش بن عبد الله حدثه عن أم أيمن أنها غربلت دقيقا فصنعته للنبي ﷺ رغيفا، فقال: ما هذا؟ قالت: طعام نصنعه بأرضنا، فأحببت أن أصنع منه لك رغيفا، فقال: فذكره. وأخرجه ابن أبي الدنيا في كتاب "الجوع" (ق ٩ / ١): حدثنا خالد بن خداش قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب به. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح، رجاله كلهم ثقات، رجال مسلم، غير ابن كاسب، قال الحافظ: "صدوق ربما وهم". وقد تابعه ابن خداش كما رأيت، قال الحافظ: "صدوق يخطىء". وهو من شيوخ مسلم. قلت: فالحديث بمجموع روايتهما عن ابن وهب صحيح، وهو بإسناد ابن أبي الدنيا على شرط مسلم، فلا تغتر بعد هذا البيان بتصدير المنذري الحديث بقوله
