It was recorded by Muslim (8/210-211) and Aḥmad (3/365). 2 - As for the ḥadīth of al-Mustawrid, it is narrated by Mujālid ibn Saʿīd from Qays ibn Abī Ḥāzim from him, who said: I was with the group who stood with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) by the dead lamb, and the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Do you think this was insignificant to its owners when they threw it away? They said: Because of its insignificance, they threw it away, O Messenger of Allāh! He said: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (2/52), Ibn Mājah (4111), and Aḥmad (4/229 and 230), and al-Tirmidhī said: "A good ḥadīth." 3 - As for the ḥadīth of al-Sulamī, it is narrated by ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylá from him, similar to the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/336) with a sound isnād, and al-Haythamī said: "Its men are the men of the authentic [collections]." 4 - As for the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, it is narrated by Abū al-Muhzam from him in a similar manner. It was recorded by al-Dārimī (2/306-307) and Aḥmad (2/338). And Abū al-Muhzam, al-Haythamī said: "The majority have deemed him weak." 5 - As for the ḥadīth of Sahl, it is narrated by Zakarīyā ibn Manẓūr: Abū Ḥāzim narrated to us from him in a similar manner. It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (4110) and al-Ḥākim (4/306) and he said: "The isnād is authentic."
